La Strega was not new to just roaming around. In fact, she roamed quite a bit but always returned to her clifftop when she needed to sleep for the night. She tended to go anywhere and everywhere. Boundaries? Yeah, she knew nothing of them. She was an enigma. Anything and everything. She was here then she was there. Her name meant 'witch of death' and yet she brought life into the world. Giggling then yelling, happy then mad. She never cried and was never sad. There was no room for her to be sad and upset. Her mind couldn't comprehend why one would be upset. A free spirit was what she was. Doing whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted to do it. Nix, the Golden Eagle, was her constant companion. Her minion. An allie amongst foe if you will. She pissed everyone off as much as she entertained them. Yeah, no two encounters were ever the same with her.
They say the war is comming back. It was. She wasn't going to lie and say 'nope, no war here'. La Strega wanted the war to happen. Wars meant that horses would need favors and favors always meant retribution. She wasn't above asking for something in return, La Strega loved gifts. Nix liked the gifts as well however he never asked. The eagle just expected a gift given to him so La Strega always gave him a gift. They were quite a pair, very striking and both a bit off kilter. Oddball with oddball. That was how it was supposed to be.
So, La Strega decided that she was growing bored and needed something to do. Now, she needed interaction to entertain her. Who should she go to? Terror? Nope. He was in a rather pissy mood that she didn't feel ike dealing with right now. Chase? Wrong again. He was pondering on how to see his mate again. Da Vinci was out of the question because he was busy avoiding the screams on the wind. Paradox. Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner. La Strega loved to visit Paradox's waterfall. The whole place fascinated her. Nix was perched safely on her back as she walked. His keen bird eyes took everything in. Watching for any signs of danger that La Stega might have missed. "Miss Paradox. Come and say hello." La Strega called as she walked. She had no problem being sneaked upon, even though Nix hated it and always made a big stink about it. La Strega always snapped at him when he made a stink about being spooked. She liked the suprise. Word Count: 439 Music: Perfect by Pink Notes: Just to get us started. There's no real plot here, just interaction. 2B3856 150517

Solitude. It was the way Paradox preferred things. She had been alone for so many years that it was just something she had grown use to. The only company she had was the water fall itself and the occasional contact from a stray horse or from La Strega. The mare could work on her nerves at times but, she was decent company and preferred her company if she had to have someone around. Paradox has spent the day wandering about her lands rather aimlessly. No one new had dared tread about her lands as she never let any in. Even being exiled to her own domain did not mean she did not know what was going on in the world or what changes were coming. Another good thing about La Strega was that she served Paradox as a sort of informant. Apparently something big was about to happen. None seemed too sure what it was but, it interested her nevertheless. Paradox felt a coming war and it pleased her. Perhaps she and Terror would be able to reunite under such circumstances. Ah yes, Terror. She did miss that thick headed stag but, she never dwelled on that. They had been ripped apart after death. However, if they both wanted life, the would have life apart. At least for now. Paradox would attempt to figure out something. But, for now life was decent for her here in her solitude.
After she had made her rounds scoping out the ground, Paradox retired behind her water fall curtain. The cavern hidden behind the falls was her own make shift chambers. No soul had ever stepped foot within those quarters except for Paradox. The striped witch lounged upon the moist stone and basked in the white noise created by the tumbling water. This was really the only thing that kept this beast at bay. Paradox could be an incredible force that could destroy worlds and lives. Paradox was not the friendliest of creatures but, she was blinded with rage like many dark beings. She never let her anger make her childish. Paradox had a sharp tongue and quick wit which made her even deadlier. As she relaxed in the cover of the falls, her ears flickered at familiar voice. With a grunt, she shifted upon her limbs before rising up to stand. It seemed she had a visitor. Paradox took to the path that ran along the stone cliff, leading out from behind the water fall. The thick limbed Zebra cross picked up a smooth trot through her lands, weaving between the trees and array of pastel hued glowing flora. Paradox did now know what made those flower illuminate but, it made her lands all the more eerie. It didn’t take her long to zone in on the other femme and she slowed up her pace once she reached her, “Well now, La Strega. It’s been a while since you graced my lands with your gloomy spirit.” she replied, “What news do you bring worth my while?” a smirk crossed over her muzzle as she watched the dappled equine.

Now, where was Paradox? Her good buddy o’ pal of hers. Of all the horses that were here, Paradox held the best conversation. Did she know why? Nope, not at all. Did she care? Nope, not at all. It was what it was and got La Strega some company. Nix kept his beady little bird eyes on the illuminated flowers. For some reason he always stared at them as if he expected something bad to come from them. For all they knew the flowers themselves were planning something. Nix could be a bit of a worry-wart. He squawked at the flowers a bit unsteadily and La Strega snorted at him. “Hush, Nix.” she hissed at him and Nix turned his beady eyes and glared at her. The less than friendly witch laughed at him with a low chuckle.
La Strega heard footfalls and knew who it was automatically. She didn’t turn around but smiled when she heard Paradox’s voice. The dappled grey femme stopped walking just out of pretend respect. Plus Nix was getting jittery on her back the farther into Rhapsidion Falls and his talons were digging into her back. So, it was mainly for herself that she stopped walking. “I’ve been searching for the juicy.” she stated. She didn’t sound friendly but she didn’t sounds like an enemy either. That could be because she was neither friend nor enemy to everyone. She didn’t care what happened as long as she got her needed gifts every so often. “So far the lands have gone quiet, as if other equines are afraid to set foot here. However, a blood relative has been spotted.” she said as her brown eyes focused on the striped femme in front of her.
The dappled femme remained quiet for a few moments. Just admiring the scenery was what she would tell anyone if they asked about her sudden silence. Those who knew her knew about her random habits that really had nothing to do with anything. Equivale was silent and La Strega wasn’t all too happy about it. She needed this war to begin. She wanted her gifts and to do her job. Without other horses she could do neither and that just wasn’t acceptable. Nix watched the two vixens as they conversed. He would have flown off to do his own thing. But the falls weren’t the safest for any flying creature and he didn’t like all the overgrown and unorthodox plants that lived here. So, to take care of himself he remained firmly planted on Paradox’s back.Word Count: 424 Music: What I Like About You Notes: Weeeeeeee =) 2B3856 150517
